Pictures from our travels about Accra and Tema, Ghana
Flagstaff House, this is the Presidental Place it resembles the traditional Ghanian stool. It was built in 2008 and now houses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We took this picture while stopped in traffic outside the building.
A common site, a Tro-tro (mini bus) carrying the purchase of a passenger.
A thorn among the flowers.
Some more flowers. Sister Moore was in control of the camera. These flowers are on the Temple and Africa West Area office complex.
This bird we saw from our office window.
One of the many hawkers we see each day. They work the stop lights. Everytime cars have to stop there are hawkers selling just about everyting.
We saw this lady outside the Accra Temple on our noon walk.
This is the building where our office is located.
Sister Moore outside the office building.
We have the opportunity to go to the Missionary Training Center in Tema, Ghana several times a month.
Flags of the nations where missionaries come from. They spend 3 weeks here before going out among the people to share the gospel. If the missionary is learning a language they spend 6 weeks here to get familiar with their mission language. The languages taught here are French and English. Yes,nsome of the missionaries need to learn English.
More flags of the nations represented by missionaries.
Back in Accra. Elder Moore started folding oragami birds with just a couple of children in sight and pretty soon he was surrounded. This is just some of the children.
Another bird from our office window.
Lizard we saw on our noonday walk.
The Temple was closed for cleaning. They clean the inside and the outside.
Scrubbing the outside of the Temple.
